Denuo places great importance on your privacy and protects your personal data in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (European Regulation 2016/679, hereinafter: "GDPR"). Our employees and third parties engaged by us are required to respect the confidentiality of your data.

This privacy statement contains essential information about how Denuo, as the data controller, collects and uses your personal data and for what purpose. This information is intended to inform you about the processing of your personal data when using our website and other services, and about the rights you have as a data subject.

Article 2. Processing of your personal data

This privacy statement concerns personal data of natural persons, specifically data that allows someone to be identified directly or indirectly.

2.1 Information you provide to us

As a data subject, you can provide us with information in the following cases:

  • New member. As a new member, you will be recorded in our CRM system. We ask for your first name, last name, title, gender, address, position, contact details, and language. Additionally, a website profile will be created. Your contact details and company will also be included on the members' list on the website.

  • Website profile. When you create a profile on our website, you provide the following personal data: first name, last name, email address, and the company you work for. We collect this data based on your consent (registration) and with the aim of sending you relevant information and keeping you updated on our news. We use an external service provider, Mailchimp, to deliver/monitor the newsletter.

  • Events, training sessions, and information sessions. When you register for one of our events, we ask you to provide certain information that we need for you to participate in that specific event. Typically, we will ask for your name, email address, position, and organization, but it may also be necessary to request other personal data needed for the organization of the event. We collect this information to properly execute your agreement with Denuo. We also use your contact information to reach out regarding the event; we collect this information based on our legitimate interest. If you give your consent, we may also use your contact information to invite you to future events and/or to send you our newsletters. You can also choose to share your first name, last name, and company name with other participants.

  • Working groups, task forces, Board of Directors, and other meetings. When you participate in working groups, task forces, the Board of Directors, or other meetings organized by Denuo, you will receive regular emails about the subject and invitations to meetings. For this, you provide the following personal data: first name, last name, email address, and the company you work for. We may share this data with members of the same working group to promote the exchange of information.

  • Contact & Correspondence. When you contact us directly (via email, phone, or letter), we process your contact details and the content of this correspondence. We use this data solely to handle your question or message as effectively as possible.

2.2 Automatically collected information

Additionally, information about you as a user is automatically collected, specifically to ensure optimal operation of our website. We do this through the use of cookies and other technologies.

Article 3. Retention of your personal data

Denuo retains and processes this personal data no longer than is necessary for achieving the aforementioned purposes for which the data is collected.

Specifically, your personal data is retained in our systems as long as reasonably necessary to provide our services or to comply with our legal obligations.

In certain circumstances, such as statistical reporting, we may anonymize your personal data so that it can no longer be linked to you. In that case, we may use that information without notifying you.

Article 4. Transfer to third parties

Denuo does not share your personal data with third parties, except to external service providers to whom we outsource certain of our services, such as, but not limited to, software providers, information storage providers, and Google Analytics. These service providers (referred to as 'processors') are limited to using your personal data for the execution of their tasks and according to our instructions.

For instance, we collaborate with processors for:

  • Management and hosting of our website

  • Management of the database (CRM)

  • Sending of emails

Under no circumstances does Denuo sell your personal data to third parties, nor may these third parties use your personal data for their own commercial purposes.

This website also contains social media buttons from social networks such as Facebook, LinkedIn, and Twitter. These allow you to share information on these platforms. These widgets are executed and managed by the social networks themselves. Denuo has no further control over this. We recommend that you consult the terms of use and privacy statement of these social networks.

We do not transfer your data to countries outside the European Economic Area (European Union + Iceland, Norway, and Liechtenstein) or to international organizations. We may do so if we use a large software provider or cloud service provider. In that case, we take all possible measures to ensure a similar level of protection for your personal data. This may include providing additional contractual measures in the agreement.

Article 5. Security of your personal data

Denuo has a security policy and procedures in place to protect your personal data against unauthorized loss, misuse, alteration, or destruction. Additionally, Denuo has appointed a Data Protection Officer (DPO) who monitors the correct processing of your personal data.
